Checking accounts are multiple transaction
accounts that provide ready access to funds.
All checking account holders have unlimited
check writing privileges and no "per check"
charge. Overdraft Protection can be provided
from savings, credit cards or through a line
of credit with certain eligibility
requirements. Deposits can be made to your
account in person, by mail, night depository
or through direct deposit. Transfers between
accounts are handled in person, by mail, by
CU Online or by telephone.

Power Checking
Accounts
- Put a little power
into your checking account! You must have
direct deposit or payroll deposit into this
account, otherwise the account will be
converted to an Alliance Checking Account on
the last day of the month and will be
subject to all applicable fees and charges.

Freedom Checking
Accounts
Want a little freedom
in your checking account? With a Freedom
checking account there are no monthly fees,
no minimum balance or limit on the total
number of checks you write each month.
Alliance Checking Accounts
If
you're looking for a basic checking account
with unlimited check writing, Alliance
Checking is a great option. Keep a $1000
minimum balance in your account and you
won't pay the $5 monthly service charge.
Direct Deposit
Overdraft Protection
TOPS
(Terrific Overdraft Protection Service) If
you have been a member in good standing and
have established Direct Deposit to your
checking account, we will cover your
overdrafts up to the amount of your direct
deposit or to the maximum amount of $500.00,
minus the applicable fees. Each item we pay
instead of returning will have a NSF fee of
$28.00. Participation in this program is
automatic. Direct Deposit Overdraft
Protection may be terminated at any time for
abuse, or if the amount overdrawn regularly
exceeds the overdraft limit. Regular
overdraft protection from savings and other
accounts will apply first.
Gold Star Club
If you are 60 or older, you qualify
for our Gold Star Club. No fees on Traveler
Checks, Money Orders, Bank Checks. You
receive 2 free boxes of AFCU custom checks
per year.
